Harewood House

Harewood House is one of the ten magnificent Treasure Houses of England, a stunning 18th-century country house set within 140 acres of 'Capability' Brown landscape designed by architects John Carr and Robert Adam and built between 1759 and 1771. The interior of Harewood is exquisite, containing one of the finest collections of Chippendale's work in a setting that is generally regarded as one of Adam's best. As you explore the House, you will find Renaissance masterpieces, exquisite family portraits by Reynolds, Gainsborough and Lawrence, masterful landscape paintings by JMW Turner, as well as a fine collection of French and Chinese porcelain.

Outside, there are miles of accessible paths to stroll around the beautiful Gardens and Grounds. Keen gardeners will love the Terrace, Walled Garden and Himalayan Garden
