Nestled in the beautiful Wroxall Valley, the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary is home to over 100 rescued donkeys and equines, each with their own story to tell. Wander the peaceful 55-acre grounds and you'll find many of these gentle creatures only too happy to say hello over the paddock fence. Founded in 1987, this heartwarming sanctuary provides a forever home for donkeys in need – and a visit here is guaranteed to raise a smile.

From here, we travel to Yarmouth – the island's oldest town and one of England's smallest. Don't let its size fool you; this historic port is full of character. Stroll along the charming wooden pier, browse the independent shops, or find a waterfront spot to enjoy a cream tea whilst watching the boats bob in the harbour
