Enjoy a early May getaway to Lincoln, a city steeped in history combined with a wealth of independent shops, arts, culture and plenty of restaurants and cafes. The ideal place for a city break!
Day One: We travel to the International Bomber Command Centre which is located on the outskirts of Lincoln and set within the 10 acre Peace Gardens. There is an interactive exhibition telling the stories of those who served and suffered during the bombing campaigns of World War 2, as well as the opportunity to see the Wall of Names and the Spire Memorial
Day Two: After a leisurely breakfast, we enjoy a 50 minute canal trip departing from the waterfront, where we enjoy commentary on Lincoln’s past & present. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the city at your leisure
Day Three: We depart our hotel after breakfast and travel to Doddington Hall, home to the same family for 400 years, since it was completed. We have a guided tour of the hall & free time to explore the gardens, before our homeward journey
