Alnwick Castle & Gardens

Alnwick is famous for its castle and gardens, which were used as a filming location for the Harry Potter films. One of the best parts of the visit is the fascinating Poison Garden, which is home to some of the deadliest plants int he UK and only accessible by guided tour. Why not take a stroll through the town to the famous Barter Books, housed in the old railway station buildings, and full of literary treasures to indulge in!

Bamburgh Castle & Farne Islands Boat Trip

Bamburgh is the quintessential fairy tale castle, towering over the coast and overlooking the North Sea. After our visit to this spectacular castle, we continue to the fishing port of Seahouses, where we take a cruise around the Farne Islands and keep an eye out for the local wildlife, including seals, puffins and maybe even dolphins!

Lindisfarne

Cross the tidal causeway to the magical and mysterious Holy Isle of Lindisfarne, famed as the centre of Celtic Christianity from the 6th century. Here you can explore the ruins of Lindisfarne Abbey, visit the castle or discover the traditional fishermen’s huts created from upturned boats

The Holiday Inn Gosforth Park is a 4 star hotel in its own grounds. It has ensuite rooms, a restaurant with choice menu, sauna, steam room and indoor swimming pool. The hotel is just two storeys and there are plenty of ground floor rooms.
