Itinerary
Relax and enjoy a lovely late Spring holiday in the seaside resort of Eastbourne. See the beautiful Carpet Gardens or wander along the pier as you explore the miles of beachside promenades, or head into the town centre and discover local museums and shops
Pashley Manor Gardens and Carr-Taylor Vineyard
Pashley Manor Gardens is considered to be one of the finest gardens in England, and the original house here was once owned by Sir Geoffrey Boleyn, great-grandfather to Queen Anne Boleyn, and his sons and grandsons. By the time the Sellick family arrived in 1981, the gardens were wild and out of control, and over the next 20 years, a stunning place with great potential was uncovered, which has become one of the handsomest landscapes in Sussex. Enjoy a relaxing visit as you discover pear trees and vine covered arches, a rose garden, kitchen garden, beautiful water features and much more. After our visit, we continue to Carr-Taylor Vineyard for a tour and wine tasting
Hastings and Rye (£)
Hastings is a lovely historic seaside resort where we enjoy free time exploring the Old Town. Here you can see the traditional fishing boats which are launched from the beaches here, or discover some of the Foyle’s Way filming locations. Then, we travel to Rye, part of the historic Cinque Ports Federations, and discover the winding streets and historic buildings of this ancient town
The Queens Hotel is situated in a superb seafront location just a stone’s throw from the pier. It has ensuite bedrooms, a restaurant with delicious choice menu & ballroom, with lift access to all floors
