Itinerary
Discover the wonders of North Devon on this excellent five day holiday staying in the riverside town of Bideford. Bideford is famous for its historic bridge with arches of all different sizes, reputed to be made this way based on how much the individual town guilds contributed to its construction!
Tiverton & Horse-Drawn Barge canal trip
Step back in time with a relaxing journey by canal barge and listen to the sounds of the waterways as we travel by horse-power – heavy horse power that is! After our relaxing canal trip, we spend some free time exploring Tiverton at leisure
Dartington Crystal Visitor Centre & RHS Rosemoor
We travel inland to the village of Great Torrington, where we visit the Dartington Crystal glass factory to find out more about the history of the crystal works and watch glassmakers in action on the factory floor. From here we travel the short distance to RHS Rosemoor, a beautiful garden nestled in a Devon valley which blends new with old: the Formal Garden, Stream Field, Orchards and Fruit and Vegetable garden contrasting with the ‘rooms’ of Lady Anne Berry’s original garden
Bude (£)
We travel south along the Atlantic Highway to the pretty coastal town of Bude, nestled on the North Devon coast, where we enjoy free time to relax and explore at leisure
