We arrive in Minehead where we spend the afternoon at leisure in this popular seaside resort
Wells & Cheddar Gorge (£)
Cheddar Gorge is a limestone gorge nestled in the Mendip Hills, famous for its amazing stalactite caverns and the oldest complete skeleton “Cheddar Man” who was discovered in 1903 and is 9000 years old. It is also where the popular cheddar cheese comes from, which you may be able to watch being made at the cheesemaker’s shop during your visit.
Wells is the smallest city in England and home to the stunning Wells Cathedral which is well worth a visit. The Bishop’s Palace is also well known as the location where swans ring a bell each day for food
